Reframing Disability’s Global Directory of Disabled News Media Professionals is now published! Thanks to all who submitted their details; I hope it does more for us than we have hoped for.

The directory currently includes nearly 60 professionals from 15 countries and is steadily growing. It will be shared with newsrooms and potential hirers globally. Please share it widely to make it a success!

What is the purpose of this directory?

To give visibility to disabled media professionals by creating a database for those looking to commission paid work from them. It will help reduce some of the structural barriers they face, while making it easier for media to commission more diverse, inclusive storytelling and journalism.

  • The directory includes journalists, photojournalists, filmmakers, podcasters, photographers, illustrators and social media experts interested in paid work.

  • Search for a professional by country:

How to get your name added to the directory

Please submit your details using this form if you are a disabled:

Entries will be added manually to the directory, in the order they are received. The form will remain open indefinitely, though updates to the directory will happen periodically.
